Stripping And Protection: Analysis Under The Assets-Based Perspective Of The Elderly Community Assets Before Demolition

The acceleration of urbanization process,is one of the necessary means of the economic and social development of China.During this process,more and more urban villages are being put into the awkward position.On the one hand,they are at the edge of the city in geographical position,which are influenced by the deep city atmosphere.On the other hand,its habits and customs,ideology and culture still retain a strong flavor of rural,which is very different with cities.So,we can call they villages,we also can call they cities.For various reasons,the governments implement urban village reconstructions to more and more urban villages,to make they better adapt to the demand of the development of urbanization,and to further promote the development of urbanization.And one way of the reforms,is the implementation of the resettlement to the urban villages.The elderly,who is experiencing this process,is always ignored.Sometimes,they are considered to be troubles.The problems,which they are encountering,are rarely paid attention to.These problems are usually taken to a new environment by the demolition of the building,and still cannot be resolved.Then they influence the old people's life.Among them,the most prominent problem is that demolition triggered the old people's helpless,anxiety and other negative emotions,and to resist to demolition.This study based on Assets-Based Community Development model which is the theoretical basis.Through based on S community and the investigation method of participatory observation,author found that demolition caused the fact that the old people lost their community assets,which is the reason of their anxiety and resistance.This study called this the sense of the detachment of the old people because of the demolition.On the site of assets for the community development model,author involved a group activity to help the old people protect their own community assets through its own efforts,and then alleviated their strong senses of detachment.Strippingis passive,but protection is active.We should realize that the old people also has powerful energy.First of all,according to the previous research,the study combined with the actual situation of China and joined relationship asset content,to analysis for demolition before the elderly community assets;Secondly,the study implemented intervention of the social work,which is guided by the Assets-Based Community Development model,to protect the old people's community assets.And in the process,author helped old people inspire their potential through their own help,alleviate the strong senses of detachment and ease the anxiety and resisted the stripping sense;Finally,according to the specific intervention of social work and the Assets-Based Community Development model,this study has theoretical summary and practice reflection: 1?Starting from the community assets and resources are more conducive to community involvement;2?Which is different from previous studies,this study highlighted the relationship between the old people when defining and analyzing of community assets because of the important role of the acquaintance society in the old people's life.And then this study regarded the old relationship assets as an important part of the community assets.In addition,there are some practice and reflection on the end of the intervention.And this study put forward some popular countermeasures and suggestions to protect the community assets of the old people to relocation work from the perspective of social work to individuals family community and government.
