With the development of the information society,Mind Mapping is a new model of thinking and learning,and it has become widely used in the field of education.The problem of how to apply Mind Mapping to education and teaching is a concern of the majority of educational researchers and workers.In this study,we select the dialogue teaching of "Let' s Talk"of "PEP Primary School English(Humanity Edition)sixth grade" and do action research on the dialogue teaching of grade six in primary school.In order to explore the suitable mind map types for primary school English dialogue teaching and investigate how the combination of various mind mapping techniques apply to primary school English dialogue teaching,this study implements the literature method,questionnaire survey method,interview method and other methods.We examined Yan Ji Jiangong Primary School grade six students' understanding of dialogue teaching and mind mapping,its use and its results,and through action research explored how the vocabulary mind maps and sentence patterns mind maps are applied to the dialogue teaching in primary school.Through the two rounds of teaching action research,we discovered that:First,Mind Mapping helps the teaching of primary school English dialogue teaching.Second,applying vocabulary mind maps in dialogue teaching can make students activate,classify,and sort the vocabulary they have learned in a short time,and dialogue will eventually be enriched.Third,applying sentence pattern mind maps in dialogue teaching can provide students with the necessary sentence structure of the dialogue,and can help students apply the sentence patterns that they have learned into dialogue for a more complete conversation scenario.This study will provide some useful reference for English dialogue teaching in primary schools and will also provide a basis for applying mind maps to English dialogue teaching in similar schools.
