This paper discusses the relationship between the influencing factors and the academic adjustment,and makes a comparative analysis of the differences between the international students in different regions and different majors;Finally give some suggestions and countermeasures for international students.In the 21 st century,the scale of international education has grown rapidly.As for the increasing number of Russian international students,the adaptation problems need more attention.This paper apart the overall academic adjustment from the seven aspects:students' classroom performance,learning attitude,academic achievement,psychological stress,learning comfort,self evaluation,teaching methods and teacher evaluation.Then the influencing factors of academic adjustment are divided into three dimensions:themselves level,school level and social level.Themselves level including demographic variables,pre-departure preparedness,language proficiency;School level including orientation and counseling,classroom teaching;Social level including relationship with facultyInteraction with peer students.Among them,the demographic variables include several factors such as gender,age,country,major,education degree,and time of stay in Russia.This study research 240 Russian People's Friendship University's international students to conduct a questionnaire survey and did in-depth interviews with 5 students.Statistical analysis of the academic adjustment of international students by SPSS.Among them,demographic variables were analyzed,and the other six factors were correlated with academic adaptation and regression analysis.The survey results show that the overall situation of students studying in Russian is better.There are no significant differences in demographic variables among the sexes,age,and professional qualifications in Russian time.But the different study group in the academic adaptation of the "learning performance" and "academic achievement" are separation.Among them,the learning performance of the African group was significantly better than that of the Asian and South American groups.At the same time,students with different diplomas were also significantly different in the "psychological" of academic adjustment;The graduates was significantly better than undergraduates.Through the correlation and regression analysis,the largest influencing factors was language proficiency,followed by the pre-departure.Peer interactions also has the effect;But through interviews found that enrollment education and teacher-student relationship to the students to adapt to school also have a certain impact.Which students in the social level among the teacher-student relationship and peer exchanges show a certain degree of difficulty.At the end of the paper,puts forward some suggestions on international students about better adapt to the study and life.recommended to carry out orientation program and improve the management service.For the students to do a good job on preparation,and actively participate in activities to make friends,communicate with teachers,and strive to make success.
