Objective: Sarcopenia is an elderly chronic syndrome characterized by decreased muscle mass, decreased muscle strength and functional capacity.Sarcopenia has seriously affected the physical and mental health of the elderly,so that the elderly self-care ability decreased, increasing the risk of falls, disability and death of the elderly.Today,Sarcopenia has become one of the major public health problems facing most developed countries. With the aging of our population,Sarcopenia's elderly population will increase dramatically, and its medical expenses will bring a heavy financial burden to the country and the family. At present, foreign research on Sarcopenia diagnostic criteria, influencing factors, prevention and control strategy is very hot,and our research on this aspect is still relatively lacking.Studies have shown that nutrition, drug therapy and physical activity interventions are an effective way and means to delay Sarcopenia. This study explored the connection between physical activity and Sarcopeniain order to provide theoretical basis and guidance for physical activity intervention in Sarcopenia. Methods: In this study,204 subjects with age ranging from 18 to 70 years were selected by cluster sampling. We used dual energy X-ray absorption assay(DEXA)and bioelectrical impedance method(BCA ?)two methods of the subject muscle quality indicators of the determination. We used Pearson correlation coefficient, paired T test and Bland-Altman analysis to compare the degree of coherence between the two measurement methods. On the other hand,6185 subjects aged 60 to 97 years were selected by multi-stage sampling. We measured the subjects' height, weight, muscle mass, grip strength, pace, blood, blood pressure, hip circumference, and bone density. We used the Logistic regression equation to study the influencing factors of Sarcopenia, and discussed the relationship between the level of physical activity and Sarcopenia. Results: The four variables(FM,LM,MM,BM,all p <0.01)measured by DEXA and BCA II were both high in both men and women, and the difference between the mean values was small. We did not find a systematic difference between the two methods. In all four variables, the average difference between DEXA and BCA II in both male and female was included within the 95% confidence limit.Logistic regression equation showed that age and bone density were Sarcopenia's risk factors, educational level, alcohol consumption,BMI,energy intake and physical activity were the protective factors of Sarcopenia, and these influencing factors were statistically significant(P <0.05).In the study of the relationship between the level of physical activity and Sarcopenia, the level of physical activity was statistically significant(P <0.05),and the other three levels of physical activity were not significant. Conclusion: DEXA and BCA II methods have good agreement for the detection of muscle mass,so these two techniques can be directly interchangeable when measuring body muscle components. In other words,in the "physical activity to delay the elderly Sarcopenia dose-effect study" can be applied BCA ? new body composition tester for muscle quality measurement of the subjects. The level of physical activity is a protective factor of Sarcopenia, which reduces the risk of Sarcopenia, and the level of four physical activity has a significant effect.Recommend the elderly physical activity to reach more than four levels, that is,the amount of activity to achieve more than 16 MET per hour per hour.
