Reading teaching is a basic part of English teaching,and it is also an important part of students' English learning.With the renewal of education idea,the new curriculum proposed the teaching thought of students-centered,which emphasizes that students should actively participate in the learning process and master knowledge in the autonomous learning method.Therefore,for the teaching of reading,it is particularly important for students to do autonomous reading under the guidance of the autonomous theory in a better way.Based on the autonomous learning theory,this paper analyzes the present situation of autonomous learning theory in senior high school English reading teaching through literature research,observation,case study and questionnaire survey.To make the research more universal,cases analysis includes quality classes,observation classes and excellent teacher's open classes,showing true teaching fragments.To make the results more convincing,this paper makes a questionnaire survey on the current situation of autonomous learning theory in English reading teaching of senior high school.In view of the above to further understand the application of autonomous learning theory in practical English reading teaching of senior high school.Research shows that the application of the autonomous learning theory is still insufficient at the present stage of English reading in senior high school.Aiming at the problems found in the research,this paper puts forward some feasible suggestions for English reading teaching in senior high school in order to provide some ideas for the autonomous learning theory to play a greater role in the English reading teaching of senior high school in the future.This thesis is divided into five.The first chapter is the introduction,including the background of the topic,research significance and the basic structure of the paper.The second chapter is the theoretical basis and literature review,including related theories and analysis of the current research situation at home and abroad.The third chapter is the research design,including the research problem,research object,research methods and research ideas.The fourth chapter is the research data analysis,including the case analysis and questionnaire survey of senior high school English reading teaching,the data analysis and the major problems found in the study.The fifth chapter is the conclusion,including the teaching suggestions and the summary and deficiency of the study.
