In today's international education competition,in order to promote the professional development of principals,improve the quality of principals,and ultimately promote the development of students,each country in the world in the field of education put professional standards for principals as the theme of reform.In July 2011,Australia promulgated the "Australian professional standards for principals".In February 2013,China promulgated the "compulsory education professional standards for school principals ".Through the comparative analysis of the National Professional standards for principals in China and Australia,found the following similarities and differences: In the concept,the two countries have to improve the quality of the principal,the core of students' development,the common characteristics of lifelong learning philosophy;also have the differences of moral values,the balance of educational equity and quality and the open degree of education system.In the structure,both the internal structure emphasizes the two dimensions of the principal's literacy and responsibility,highlights the common features of the two-dimensional integration characteristics;and in the the external structure,"singularity" is different from "integration".In the content,in the comparison of education and teaching leadership responsibility,they both emphasize the teaching as the center,the common characteristics of learning organization construction,but Chinese standard prefer to emphasize Course setting and implementation based on national curriculum standards and the tendency to quantify and prohibit the provisions,and Australian standard is more focused on high expectations,high standards,and the development of all staff;in the comparison of the responsibilities of leading school reform and development,they both have emphasized the cooperation with many stakeholders,and based on the common characteristics of domestic and international trends,but there are still differences,Chinese standard prefer to emphasize the construction of our educational culture,Australian standard is more like to emphasis on evidence-based school improvements and school innovation leadership;in the coordination of public relations responsibilities,both stressed the rational allocation of resources,to adhere to the principle of win-win cooperation,and Chinese standard prefer to emphasis system standardization,and Australia standard prefer to emphasis on data management and the use of new technologies and respect for understanding the diversity of community culture.In the implementation requirements,in the comparison of the implementation requirements of promoting the professional development of their own principals based on standard,both to emphasize the direction of professional development of principals to support the principal and take the initiative to participate in the common characteristics of training projects,but also have the difference of guiding the principal to reflect and evaluate;in the comparison of the construction and management of the team,it emphasizes the common characteristics of the selection and appointment of the principals based on the standards,and emphasizes the difference between the rigidity system and the flexible development direction of the standards-based principals.Comparison is a bachelor of the process,the professional standards of principals in China and Australia are different from each other in the comparison.On the basis of comparative analysis of the similarities and differences between the two countries,the author explores the causes of the similarities and differences in order to better grasp the criteria to find that they are worth learning and thinking local.The full text has seven parts.First,the introduction part elaborates the research background,the research question,the research purpose,the research significance,and summarizes the research present situation at home and abroad,introduces the research content and the research method.Secondly,starting from the development of professional standards of principals in China and Australia,comparing the differences and analyzing the reasons.Thirdly,starting from the professional standard design concept of the principals of China and Australia,the author analyzes the similarities and differences of the ideas and the reasons.Fourth,compare the similarities and differences between the structure of the principal professional standards in China and Australia,and analyze the reasons.Fifth,compare the similarities and differences between the professional standards of the principals in China and Australia,the contents of the standards of the two countries in accordance with Speck defined principals as educators,leaders,managers of the three roles,it is divided into three dimensions.The responsibility of education and teaching leadership based on the major role of educator;the responsibility of leading School changing responsibilities,based on the major role of leader;the responsibility of coordinating public relations based on the major role of manager.Respectively,comparative the similarities and differences,and analyze the reasons.Sixth,is to compare the similarities and differences between the requirements of the professional standards of principals in China and Australia and analyze the reasons.Finally,at the conclusion part,summarize the similarities and differences between the two principals professional standards in China and Australia,analyze the reasons of differences,provoke the thinking of optimizing professional standard system of the principals in our country.
