Peer communication is a kind of specific social activity that occurs in the same age or similar level of psychological development of children.The peer relationship and the accumulated experience of peer communication played a key role in the development of children's sociality.The research theme of "peer communication of young children" is not only paid attention to in the fields of education,psychology and sociology,but also often mentioned in the area of children's literature,and now becomes a special narrative theme.So far the picture book has been a literary form which is mostly welcomed by children,mainly combining the content with pictures,to show the children a colorful world,expressed literally by writers according to their careful observation of children in real life.It provides vivid materials for us to study the children's intercourse and helps us to contact the theme of peer from a new perspective to interpret.This study selected 60 picture book as materials which are representative in reflecting the peer interaction,mainly using the content analysis method to explore the general characteristics of children's peer interaction in picture books,combined with the reality of reflection and finally put forward the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions.According to the principles of combination between qualitative and quantitative,induction and analysis,to analyze the statistics of 151 peer interaction events,the researcher used the software SPSS to deal with the data.The results are as follows.Firstly,there is large difference between children's peer communication situations and the number in the game situation is less.Secondly,the purpose of peer communication is clear and more are positive.Thirdly,communication strategies are various and active ones are more.Lastly,there are more active strategies among the effective communications.According to the results of the analysis,the researcher put forward several suggestions for the harmonious communication between children and their peers asbelow.First,creating children's peer interaction situation.Second,cultivating positive communication skills for children.Third,playing an exemplary role model among the children.
