Objective:The purpose of this research was to compare the effects of flip-flops?ordinary slippers and bare foot on young female,s gait characteristics during walking.Analysis the characteristics of flip-flops on human gait, further more, probe the biomechanical mechanism of lower extremity injury caused by flip-flops.Method:10 Subjects were healthy female students recruited from Beijing Sports University.Collect the gait characteristics of flip-flops.ordinary slippers and bare foot on young female.Kinetic data were recorded using a 8 camera motion analysis system(Motion Analysis Corporation,USA)and simultaneous kinetic data were measured using a 3-D force plate(Kistler,Switzerland). Results:The hip.knee.ankle peak flexion angles were greater when wearing flip-flops during swing phase; The peak propulsive force was lower when wearing flip-flops;The peak inversion and dorsiflexion angles of forefoot-midfoot were greater when wearing flip-flops,the same as the peak dorsiflexion?inversion?internal rotation angles of forefoot-rearfoot.Conclusion:(1)Different slippers influence the kinematic of hip?knee?ankle. The hip?knee flexion angles were increased and the gait pattern was changed at toe-off when wearing flip-flops.(2)Different slippers influence the kinetic of hip?knee?ankle, the propulsive force was lower when wearing flip-flops,so it,s strenuous when wearing flip-flops.(3)Different slippers influence the relative angles of each inter-segment,the range motion of each inter-segment was bigger when wearing flip-flops during walking.
