As the "bamboo raft load" to the core,this paper start the entire inquiry learning design,integrate the relevant science,technology,engineering and mathematics,so as to achieve comprehensive inquiry learning.This teaching design includes two plates,which is primary school 'buoyancy" inquiry activity design and junior high school 'buoyancy" comprehensive inquiry learning design.Primary inquiry activity begin with the question,"what is the most simple tools to cross the river",then elicit the "The wet wood could be made as raft?" "The wet bamboo could be made as bamboo raft?" "Which method can carry more cargo,with the dry raft or the wet bamboo raft?"" What factors determine the cargo capacity of the raft?" The entire inquiry activities centre on this series of questions.Finally,through the study of mineral water bottle raft model,students compare the wet wood and the dry wood with the bamboo about the internal structure,and build intuitive contact to the size of the material inside the air and the cargo capacity of the raft.So that students have a new understanding of the raft's cargo capacity.Junior high school comprehensive inquiry learning design around the problem,"How many people can the bamboo raft carry?" After discussing the problem,students can calculate the number of people that the bamboo raft could carry,according to the existing knowledge.However,students do not know whether the calculated value is realistic or nor.Doing like the scientists,students establish a model in the laboratory experiments,and test the theoretical calculation and the actual degree of matching,in order to lay the foundation solving the problem,"How many people can the bamboo raft actually carry?,Carrying on the teaching design,this paper attaches great importance to the difference between the exploring instructional design and the existing.The biggest difference is that:the classes are linked by the the problem situation set up at the beginning of the unit.Around the problem situation,problems are eqplored from shallow to deep systematically.This design not only allows students to conduct a thorough study of a phenomenon and learn the knowledge systematically,but also be conducive to the cultivation of students in enquiring mind.
