On The Present Situation And Countermeasures For The Resilience Of College Students With Economic Difficulties In Chongqing

Resilience,as an important part of college students' healthy personality,is the psychological enduring capacity and behavioral expression in an individual's response to stress and other negative stimulation,making itself widely concerned by scholars.The group of college students with family economic difficulties not only influence the national economic development and social stability,but also shoulder the important mission of revitalizing the nation.The level of resilience of this group is closely related to their mental health status,and has a profound significance for their individual overall development.This paper pays attention to enhancing the resilience of college students with family economic difficulties and improving their psychological tenacity so that they can be optimistic and confident when faced with difficulties,be more gritty in the face of adversity and can better integrate into the society.College students who are to be determined as those with family economic difficulties should meet one or more of the following conditions: those who are identified as college students with family economic difficulties by the university every year;those whose family belongs to low income households filed by the civil affairs departments;those who have applied for the national student loan.This study,through determining the resilience as the point of penetration,selects 616 college students from seven universities in Chongqing as the research object,among whom there are about 220 students suffering from family economic difficulties.Through literature review,questionnaire survey data analysis and interviews,the following study results are obtained: first,compared with those from relatively well-off families,those with family economic difficulties have obvious worse performance in the three dimensions ofresilience,namely,optimism,strength and toughness,and the total score of resilience.Second,in terms of the overall situation of resilience,those with family economic difficulties are in the medium level.Third,the left-behind experience,single parent family condition and the status of the only child have little impact on their resilience.Fourth,those with family economic difficulties who grew up in backward rural areas,who have no party membership and who haven't served as student cadres have relatively lowlevel of resilience.Besides,among the different education levels of students with family economic difficulties,the resilience of undergraduates is the worst,of which the sophomore get the lowest score,which is worthy of attention.So,this paper analyzes the causes for the resilience problem on the college students with family economic difficulties from four aspects: individual risk factors,family economic conditions,and education mode of parents,family atmosphere.The results show that this group of students have a host of risk factors including psychological imbalance,lack of practice and training and excessive attention to their own weaknesses,etc..Also,the poverty-stricken family economic conditions,the parental ignorant and authoritarianeducation mode as well as laissez-faire and conflict type family atmosphere are all important attributes of the low level of resilience.Stemming from the causes of the issue and combined with the current situation,this paper puts forward the countermeasures to enhance the resilience level of college students with family economic difficulties in Chongqing from the external protective factors,family and individual initiative.
