Empirical Study On Education Inequality And Urban-rural Income Gap

In recent years,with the reform of the system in our country,especially the deepening of the reform of income distribution field,the living standards of urban and rural residents has been greatly improved,and the trend of widening income gap is also present at the same time,among them,urban and rural residents' income gap in the most significant,and affect the social stability and economic development.Investigate its reason,it is the result of comprehensive shaping of many factors,including education investment of human capital in a certain extent,it can affect people's income,it's one of the influence factors of narrowing the income gap.Therefore,based on the objective conditions and forming reason of urban and rural resident income gap,from the perspective of education investment,research urban and rural residents' income gap problem and put forward the policy recommendations of narrowing the income of urban and rural residents,has a certain theoretical and practical significance.In the perspective of education of human capital,this paper studies the urban and rural residents' income gap.This article expounds the research background,significance,related problems on the basis of summarizing the research both at home and abroad,then analysis the manifestation of urban and rural differences of human capital,the current situation of the urban and rural residents income gap and its reasons,the influence of education for urban and rural residents income gap.After empirical analysis,this thesis comes a conclusion that there is a close relationship between education and urban and rural income gap.First,from the perspective of education investment,primary education and secondary education investment will narrow the urban and rural residents income gap,on the contrary,higher education will widen this gap.Therefore,more attention should be paid on secondary education.Secondly,from the perspective of regional education investment difference,in western area,higher education investment will widen income gap easily;in eastern area,education investment will narrow the income gap,and the impact of primary education to narrow the income gap is more distinct,higher education investment will widen this gap when it reaches a high level.Thus,underdeveloped areas should increase primary education investment,and developed areas should increase secondary education investment.Finally,from the perspective of urban and rural gap in education status,an equitable education investment between urban and rural will improve the income gap.Consequently,rural compulsory education investment should be increased to improve the equality of local education.
