In the context of globalization and the use of informatization and communication technology in education,the research and practice of open educational resources continue to improve and evolve,and further promoted the "open education resources" movement.As a new breakthrough of the open education resource movement,MOOCs have adhering to the concept of knowledge sharing of open educational resources and have successfully realized the sharing of quality education resources on a global scale.The rapid rise of MOOCs in the world has provided one potential solution to the challenges facing by higher education institutions and brought new opporturnities to the reform and development of higher education.Thousands of students,universities,government,media and business groups have been involved in MOOCs.It promoted the development of MOOCs,meanwhile it also led to a deeper level of thinking and discussion.With the rapid growing of MOOCs numbers and types,the study of MOOCs is becoming more and more thorough.However,from the results of the survey,many of MOOCs are poorly designed.The use of correct and effective design,and the effective teaching of MOOCs calls for continued attention.The characterastics of MOOCs,which are different from the traditional classroom teaching,determines that educators and educational institutions can not fully copy the traditional classroom design strategies.In order to better explore the design of MOOCs,this study used the method of design-based research.Based on ILDF model,it summarized the research of MOOCs design through literature review,combined the theory of online course design and the social learning theories as the basis,and formalized a preliminary MOOCs design framework.Taking SISU's first MOOC “Intercultural Communication” on the FutureLearn platform as a case to develop the specific design.According to the data and the results in the implementation of the three runs,invloing the number of participants,course participation,learner's characteristics and post-survey feedbacks,this paper have redesigned and improved the course run by run based on the preliminary framework of MOOCs design,and constantly enriched the design framework,and adjusted the specific elements of the MOOC.Finally,the basic framework of MOOCs design has came out,including five key design elements: pre-analysis,learning content,learning interaction,learning support and learning evaluation.Besides,six specific MOOCs design strategies have been concluded,which are Systematic design strategy,Personalized learning strategy,Interactive strategy,Organized content strategy,Knowledge visualization strategy,and Data-based dynamic adjustment strategy.
