Financial Management Performance Evaluation Of Private Universities In China

Private universities are not only the important supplement for college education,but also play an important role in realizing science and knowledge popularization which all social sectors are paying attention to.During reform and opening up process,china is practicing on open up private higher education field,and trying to create a healthy environment for the booming development and high quality of private colleges.Establishing a healthy financial system has a great impact on colleges' financing measures,daily operation,surplus planning,etc.This article aimed at sorting and analyzing the problems of private colleges' financial management,and provided solutions and valuable advices for them.The development of the private colleges are currently facing serious problems like unclear property right position,opaque expenses cost,limited financing channels,unqualified management staff,lack of external supervision and so on.This article also found out some hidden troubles during private colleges' financial implementation,such as unreasonable internal governance structure,lack of budget mechanism,etc.These mentioned problems is not only restricted the daily operation of private colleges,but also affected the reputation and the graduates' career development.This paper started from the concept definition,made detailed introductions for higher education,private colleges and financial management so as to give research category for financial management of private colleges.By using literature analysis method,this paper collected,sorted and analyzed large number of high quality related papers both Chinese and abroad,and this paper also used comparative study,graphing methods,as well as case analysis.After all,on the basis of above process,this paper finally summarized the problems faced by private colleges,analyzed the reasons and mechanism behind them,and put forward feasible improvement solutions.In addition,this paper also studied some outstanding case of foreign private colleges' financial management,figured out management methods which are worthy of reference,in order to give some fresh thoughts for financial management system optimization.This paper selected 22 indexes from various indexes which can reflect financial status quo and risk of private universities.Then this paper built a comprehensive indicator system which provides wide and explicit angles.By using this system,we can provide quantitative analysis for financial management and risk avoidance of private universities.The solutions for solving the private colleges' financial management puzzle are summed as follows,establish a healthy and open external environment,formulate reasonable tuition standard,improve budget system and implementation mechanism,optimize the financial business process and improve organizational structure.
