| The concept of chemistry is the core content of chemistry.The teaching effect of the concept of chemistry not only affects the students’ interest in learning chemistry,but also has a close relationship with the construction of system of chemistry knowledge and the formation of chemistry curriculum concepts.Traditional chemistry concept teaching only focuses on imparting knowledge and dealing with problems.However,little attention is paid to create opportunities for activities in teaching and develop students’ chemistry concept.APOS theory(Action-Process-Object-Scheme)attaches importance to the design of teaching activities,emphasizes students’ activities as the main body,letting students participate in the classroom activities designed by the teacher,constructing concept actively,and forming their own internal knowledge system.The theory has been applied in the teaching of mathematical concepts,but few related researches have been done on chemistry teaching.This study intends to apply APOS theory to the teaching of chemical concepts to explore its feasibility and effectiveness.First of all,based on the study of new curriculum standard of chemistry study and relevant application of APOS theory in the teaching of mathematics concept,the author investigates the current situation of chemistry concept teaching by interviews and questionnaires in Chengxian No.1 Middle School.It has been found that the application of APOS theory on the design of chemical concept teaching design accords well with new concept of the new curriculum standard.Besides,it is a teaching mode that teachers and students are expecting.Then,based on APOS theory,some instructional designs,which are combined with the classification of middle school chemical concept such as entity concept,definition concept and abstraction concept,are presented.It is to guide the students to actively participate in the construction of chemistry concepts,enhance students’ proficiency level and develop their chemistry concept.Finally,teachers of chemistry are suggested to 1)pay attention to the cultivation of chemical values by connecting chemistry teaching with real life;2)strengthen the penetration of curriculum concept by raising the awareness of innovation through the integration of textbooks;3)focus on the all-around development of students’ scientific quality in the way of theory guiding practice and 4)improve students’ comprehensive ability through the activities to narrow the distance between teachers and students. |
