Concept learning is an important means of implementing scientific literacy.Primary school students have actually formed a diverse range of ideas.Through the literature on the alternative framework of elementary students,this study investigates students' alternative framework of "the matter of change".Through the literature on primary school science lessons "the matter of change" sort out the related concepts,draw the "material change" concept mapping.On this basis,the development of a two-stage diagnostic tool.Choose students to the questionnaire of recycling,revised tool.Ultimately determine two-stage diagnostic test of "the matter of change" formal questionnaire.A total of 311 students of the fifth grade and the sixth grade elementary school were investigated.Compares the different conceptions of the students in two grades,we found that students in the physical changes,chemical changes,reversible changes,the concept of irreversible changes in different degrees of different ideas.The typical errors of different plans are the following: "confusion physical and chemical changes","the concept of water is not the correct understanding of fixed shape","water vapor and water are not the same kind of material","iron rust is a physical change","do not know the evaporation of water can be carried out at any time the","irreversible changes and chemical changes in the confusion of concept".Five grade students and grade six students in the "the matter of change" in this part of the different ideas on the overall difference is not larg.In the evaporation conditions,corrosion,material changes in the classification criteria,the teacher's understanding of the idea of different students is accurate.In the three-state change of water,combustion is a distinction between chemical changes,reversible changes and irreversible changes in these area,teachers have different knowledge of students' alternative framework.Finally,according to the difference between the alternative conception of interviews of teachers and students has,we put forward the teaching suggestions.
