Mental models was first founded in 1943 by The Scottish psychologist Kenneth Craik (Keynes, craigslist), now has become a hot research topic in the field of education.Electrochemical is a very important part of the basic structure of middle school chemistry,electrochemical knowledge has extensive application in the production and living also.Students learn this part of knowledge, need to have a rich imagination and a certain knowledge on microscopic world, higher requirements for students' thinking ability. That individual's perception of objective things is often hidden in their own mental model,electrochemical knowledge and phenomenon in the mental models of life whether has the function of description, explanation and forecast is not known. So to probe the mental models of the individual, in addition to being able to find the myth of the individual hidden concept, can also test whether or not the individual mental models have describe,explain and predict the function.This study has three stages: the stage of literature research, the stage of questionnaire investigation, the stage of case interview investigation. Specific research process is: first, using literature research, the concept of model, mental model and electrochemical related concepts are defined on the basis of literature review. Then, we were analyzed the content of the electrochemical module to the high school curriculum standard request and the characteristics of college entrance examination, and proposed the concept of electrochemical module in the study of 19 points. We prepared"electrochemical related concepts for the high school students questionnaire (teacher questionnaire)",feedback from experience teacher questionnaire to understand the difficulty of knowledge point of electrochemical concept, for the "electrochemical mental models of high school students questionnaire (student questionnaire)" provide a reference basis. In the empirical study, first through the open pen and paper test questionnaire,analysis of high school students grasp the situation of the related concept of electrochemical. And then use the case interview method, select the appropriate interview target for semi-structured interviews, analyze the interview voice recording, refine their hidden electrochemical mental model, summarizes the difference of their mental models and specific meaning of the concept of electrochemical myth, verification of the functioning of mental models.Research indicates:1. Different grades of students on the concept of electrochemical understanding and grasp the situation is different, the third year students are better than the second grade. It shows that mental models are developing and perfecting, with the improvement of the learning stage, the wrong mental model has been revised into a scientific mental model.Therefore, the average of the third year students is higher than that of the second grade.2. Electrochemical myth concepts of teachers' feedback information do not perfectly match with the students' test results, shows that teachers' teaching and students' learning has some discrepancy, teachers can not only subjective judgment teaching difficulty with teaching experience, also need to fully understand the specific situation of students, to carry out targeted teaching, so as to helpe students to scientifically transform the concept of electrochemical myth.3. Different groups of students, the electrochemical mental model is different,different individuals of the same information from the outside will have a different cognition, construct different mental models, thus to make a different description and explanation on the same phenomenon in our life, to guide the individual making the right,or wrong judgment and application.4. The more the concept of myths in case interviews, the less the degree of consistency of the mental model of the respondents, the less scientific the constructed mental model, the weaker the ability to describe, explain and predict the phenomena and problems in life.5. Scientific electrochemical mental model do have the ability to predict, explain and solve the problems in the life of electrochemical knowledge and phenomenon.Based on the analysis of the content requirements of the high school electrochemical module curriculum standards and the past five years of college entrance examination, this paper proposed the concept of 19 electrochemical knowledge as knowledge measure of this study, through the way of questionnaire and case interview, investigate the electrochemical mental models of high school students on the construction condition,construction types and functions of mental model. Summarize the high school students'myth concept in the construction of electrochemical :mental model of, hoping to provide the direction for the first - line teachers to target the transformation of electrochemical teaching.
