Electrochemical basis is an important part of high school chemistry.Its content is in relation to social practice and hotspot.It plays an important role in cultivating students' thought and students' ability to apply chemistry knowledge to practical life.This study focuses on study of the application of Rasch Model on the examination paper analysis and chemistry abilities in the electrochemical basis teaching.The specific contents and results are as follows:First,the author uses the Rasch model to analyze the quality of weekly test papers of 187 students of grade 2 in senior high school.The results show that this test has a good fit and reliability,which covers all the ability of the participants and well measures the ability of students.But there are several abnormal items that need to be analyzed or modified.Second,choosing the electrochemical basis in the fourth selective course of senior high school chemistry of PEP as the research object and centering on the ability measurement,this paper aims to classify the core chemistry abilities involved in electrochemical basis by using the discourse analysis,teacher and student interviews,questionnaires and Rasch model.There are three main research questions as follows:(1)What chemistry abilities should be pay more attention to during the electrochemical basis teaching which centers on developing students' ability?(2)What are the students' chemistry abilities?(3)What is the specific performance criteria of each chemistry ability?The research findings show that(1)the chemistry abilities in the electrochemical basis can be classified into the ability of understanding the basic concepts and principles,the ability of chemical thought,the ability of acceptance and integration of new information;(2)the ability of understanding basic knowledge and concepts of students of grade 2 in senior high school is generally well,but chemical thought ability has a big gap,and the ability of accepting and integrating new information is the greatest gap;(3)in order to facilitate high school teachers to evaluate various abilities of students,the three chemistry abilities are divided into four levels in the paper and the detailed performance standards for each levels are presented.This research introduces the application of Rasch Model in the electrochemical basis teaching,which provides a reference for teachers to analyze the quality of examination paper in the daily teaching,provides a scientific basis for teachers to establish more specific teaching objectives for the purpose of cultivating students' ability,provides a better way for students to understand themselves more clearly and extensively and study efficiently and gives a suggestion for curriculum standards and examination programs to be more suitable for the actual situation of senior high school and for achieving a more reasonable scientific and fair evaluation of the ability of students.
