The new "Guidance Outline for Basic Education Curriculum Reform”requires teachers to change the situation that emphasizes on rote,mechanical training and the learning of acceptance too much.It encourages teachers to lead students to participate in learning actively,conduct research happily and improve the ability to practice efficiently.The thought of emphasis on the status of students is consistent with the concept of the student-oriented education which is put forward by the student-oriented education in East China Normal University.It refers that teachers have to take students as the teaching center,highly respect each student and fully rely on each student in the teaching process.The real fundamental education is to let students become the master of study.Teaching is designed for students' curiosity.The main ways of language learning are four skills,such as:listening skill,speaking skill,reading skill and writing skill.Reading skill is the important way for students to obtain relevant information.In order to improve students'reading ability effectively,we should give full play to students' subjective initiative.Students will learn English by applying English in the task of learning and discovering their shortcomings.I am in Huzhu county Qinghai province,whose education department has organized the teachers to study the student-oriented education in Guangdong.In 2016,the education department invited professor Guo Sile and his team to Huzhu county for the National Student-oriented education theory and practice of training classes that support the activity.After a series of study,we listened to all sorts of model lessons,communicative lessons and heterogeneous lessons.I was determined to make my class become an active student-oriented class.This article combines student-oriented education and task-based teaching method.It studies the following questions:First,can task-based teaching which is under the student-oriented education improve students' learning interest and participation?And how to reflect and enhance students' learning interest and participation in specific teaching design?Second,can task-based teaching which is under the student-oriented education improve students' English reading comprehension?And how to enhance students'English reading comprehension in some key points?Third,can task-based teaching which is under the student-oriented education improve students' comprehensive ability to use English?And how to enhance students' comprehensive ability to use English in some key points?In this article,I find that students in experimental class can read some passages more actively.They can have a strong interest in learning and solve difficult problems actively to expand their reading vocabulary.At the same time,they can answer the questions in class actively after active thinking.When they have different answers from teachers,they will have the courage to express their opinions actively.All students can solve the deeper questions together.In contrast,the students in control class can complete the exercises step by step arranged by teachers.They check answers passively and improve their English reading ability passively.Their ability to express their idea is weak.Therefore,it can be seen that student-oriented education for task-based reading teaching model to English reading is more effective than the traditional teaching method.
