Over the past centuries,lots of researchers in the foreign countries have proved that the transferring theory does have an effect on the second language learning,meanwhile,the theory has its own system.During the past decades,with the aid of transferring theory,many researchers in China have conducted experiments on English teaching,making great achievements,however,most of which are focused on English teaching in the colleges,and the researches about English teaching in high schools,especially about how to make full use of the transferring theory are not enough.Transferring is defined as the effects caused by the similarities and differences between the target language and any learnt languages.According to this,there are three kinds of transferring,they are interference,facilitation and indifference.In detail,interference has a bad effect on the second language learning,it happens when the learners tend to express or understand something in their mother tongue.Facilitation,which has a good effect,always happens when the target language and learnt language have something in common,thus helping to learn the target language well.Indifference happens when the target language is totally different from the learnt language in expressions.Above all,it is of great significance to focus on the comparisons between two different languages,especially between the mother tongue and foreign languages,because their differences affect foreign language learning greatly,even leading the learners to make any mistakes.Consequently,the author means to have a good knowledge of the effects of the interference,thus to enhance the English teaching in high school.During the research,based on the transferring theory,the comparative analysis theory and comparative and error analysis theory,the author learns the current situation of the English writing among high school students using interviews and questionnaire,and have a good command of the interference in their English writing through statistics and analysis,which help the author to find the reasons of the interference and think about the solutions.Eventually,the author is firmly convinced that this essay will provide some effective measures for English teaching in high school,which can improve the students' abilities to write and express,helping them to become high-quality talents.Generally speaking,the author mainly intends to discuss the following questions:1.What kinds of interference from Chinese in English writing of students in high school?2.What are the reasons for the interference?This essay mainly analyzes the students' sample writings,and interviews from the teachers and students in high school are added to get more information,what's more,the questionnaire towards the students are included to get more information about the mistakes caused by interference of Chinese and the reasons.From what has been mentioned above,the essay will make a big theoretical and practical difference to English teaching in high school.
