Cheng Jinwu(1908-1970),Anhui Jia Shan,China's modern educator.Former Cheng Yunzhang,who used the name Cheng Jie sound,Cheng Jinwu,Shen Wenxing,Cheng Wanli,Cheng Ningyuan,Ning Yue,after 1949 has been used in the name of today.1928 was admitted to Nanjing Xiaozhuang Normal School,in 1933 to Guangdong to participate in the management of Houhou middle school,in 1939 back to Guangxi as "life education society" underground party branch secretary,in 1948 Ren Zhongxuan Department researcher,education team leader,1965 Ren Beijing Normal University Party committee secretary and vice president.On the nature of education,education methods,on the course,on teachers,children's education,youth cultivation and other aspects of Cheng Jinwu have studied and put forward their own unique insights.He argues that education is essentially a means of cultural transmission and creation in order to achieve a certain purpose of economic purpose.He puts forward the practice education law,advocates teachers play a leading role in educational practice,students play a main role in learning practice,both teaching and learning are based on practice.He believes that the new curriculum is a combination of theory and practice of practical courses.He believes that teachers must have certain conditions in order to take up the responsibility of teachers,teachers should always strengthen their self-cultivation,to clear the status of education in society and their status in education,to love the object of education and loyal service to the cause of education,To have a wide range of knowledge,pay attention to the upgrading of professionalism.Cheng Jinwu pointed out that there are some shortcomings in the past teacher training,the number of normal schools,students impromptu motives impure,school teaching and practice phase out.Therefore,he advocated the establishment of a new normal school,to the normal school as the center,while holding a number of public night school,women literacy classes.In addition,he pointed out that a qualified teacher to keep learning,continuous learning,and teacher training in the study and work with the training time,books and newspapers supply,learning and other issues put forward their own views.Cheng Jinwu attention to the development and education of children,that the contents of children's education,including the production of labor education,ideological education and discipline education in three areas.In the principle of children's education,he believes that only a real understanding of children in order to better educate their children,while opposing punishment and insulting children,to promote the children to reward.In children's education methods,he advocated the removal of old educational methods,realistic and innovative,led the children out of school,to the community,while emphasizing the importance of family education,family education and school education to combine the two.Cheng Jinwu that young people should pay attention to cultivation,first of all have a clear position,and a reasonable way to treat enemies and comrades,on this basis to strengthen self-improvement.Cheng's education thought is rich in practical,contemporary and patriotic,and has had an important influence on the development of education at that time.Although his educational thought has some limitations,he emphasizes the combination of theory and practice,emphasizing the attitude of self-learning and mutual learning and the idea of persisting in reading and learning.
