On The Higher Educational Responsibility Of Society

Based on the analysis of social criticism for higher education,the utilitarian requirement of society for higher education,the embarrassment of higher education's dilemma and the absence of social higher education responsibility in context of law and policy,this article puts forward the proposition of "social higher education responsibility".This article makes an in-depth and systematic analysis of these problems which includes the meaning and confirmation of social higher education responsibility,necessity and possibility of social responsibility for higher education,establishment of social higher education responsibility,the realization of social higher education responsibility and the possible conflicts.Specifically,this articles mainly includes the following aspects:First,To study social higher education responsibility.Higher education responsibility of society means the responsibility of society in the development of Higher Education.To study the social higher education responsibility,on the one hand is to make a overall presentation of the relationship between higher education and society;on the other hand,to define the higher education responsibility of society.To judge the standard of true and false of a proposition is verifiable,and the higher education responsibility of society can be proved in the history of higher education.The confirmation of this proposition requires us to clarify the relevant concepts,determine the subject of social higher education responsibility and its specific responsibilities.Second,the high education responsibility of society is the objective requirement of higher education's development.The shift of higher education from from edge of society to center of society,the change of organization ' s function,the expansion of higher education scale and the change of higher education structure all require the society to undertake corresponding higher education responsibility.Social higher education responsibility is also the objective demand of social development.The release of the power of social higher education and the realization of subject intentions of social higher education power are the possibility of social responsibility for higher education.Third,Establishment of social higher education responsibility.Mainly in four aspects:establishment of relevant laws and regulations in higher education;establishmentof relevant policy makers in higher education;establishment of statutes of higher education's maker;the establishment of self awakening of other social higher education responsibility subject.Fourth,the realization of social higher education responsibility.The establishment of responsibility consciousness,the cultivation of responsibility ability,the implementation of responsibility behavior,the evaluation and supervision of responsibility system implementation,and the consolidation of responsibility results are the main paths to realize the responsibility of higher education of society.In the process of higher education responsibility,the society may encounter the following conflicts,that is,the conflict between the responsibility subject and the responsibility to evade responsibility,that is,conflict of responsibility subject when facing distinctive nature of responsibility,conflict between the commitment of responsibility and the avoidance of responsibility etc.The realization of higher education responsibility of society requires the responsibility subject to adhere to the reasonable value orientation and strengthen their sense of responsibility for higher education.
