Research On Distance Education Of China Based On Knowledge Mapping

The development of distance education in our country has entered a new stage since 1997 because of the support of our country.This situation led to a large number of research results.It's necessary to analyze researchers and research hot spot of distance education through complex data.First,the research elaborated the background and reviewed relevant literature of distance education and knowledge map in our country nearly five years.Secondly,the core concept of distance education,basic theory and the method of building knowledge map were introduced.Thirdly,this research has analyzed literature data from CSSCI in CNKI about distance education from 1997 to 2016,using Bicomb,Ucinet and SPSS software by social network analysis,multivariate statistical analysis and other methods.And the paper built co-author network,institution co-occurrence network,keywords co-occurrence network and the keywords clustering tree diagram of two periods.Finally the author made an explanation of the knowledge map,and revealed the researchers and research hotspots in the field of distance education.The research found that Chen Li,Ding Xin,Ding Xingfu and other four researchers were core authors in the field of distance education.The relationship between authors were not closed.There were three kinds of cooperation mode between teachers and students,colleagues,collaborated.Most authors were from open university,normal universities,comprehensive colleges and universities.The Open University of China,Beijing Normal University,South China Normal university and other two universities were core institutions.Beijing was the main research area.The research hotspot of distance education focuses on six aspects: distance teaching and learning,distance education technology and distance education quality assurance,etc.The following changes have taken place in distance education research topics,such as the research focus was transformed from macro-level to micro-level;and by focusing on the research of learning methods based on technology rather than technology research and so on.The research trend including five aspects: the elements of the distance education system institution,which was still the key point;The integration of MOOC,online learning,mobile learning with distance education.And the promotion of the distance education development by new technologies such as built-in equipment,virtual reality and learning analysis,etc.
