As the college entrance examination English question types are being reformed gradually,so a number of educators devote themselves to exploring how to reform the traditional teaching methods.But they ignore vocabulary review which plays a basic role in the process of English learning of the whole senior high,which makes it much worse that students cannot memorize the words.Through looking up some relevant literature,the author finds that Mind Mapping,based on Knowledge Visualization Theory,The Deep Processing of Memory Theory and Constructivism Theory,is a tool of thinking.It not only enhances learners' autonomous learning interests,but also makes the knowledge systematized so as to strengthen memorizing affects.Besides,grade two is a connecting link between the preceding and the following.The vocabulary review of this stage can build a good basis to the comprehensive review of grade three.Therefore,this research will apply Mind Mapping to vocabulary review teaching in grade two of senior high school,which explores whether Mind Mapping can motivate students' interests in learning vocabularies and help form good autonomous learning habits so as to enhance the memorizing effect of vocabulary review.This research takes two classes,including 120 students,from No.Four Middle School in Bao Ta district,Yan'an City,as research subjects.It lasts two months.The author mainly adopts literature research method,questionnaire method and the experimental pedagogy to collect data,and uses the method of quantification and qualification to analyze those data.And then uses the software of SPSS 19.0 to analyze statistics and T-test to questionnaires,the scores of pre-test,post-test and eight tests,which makes a conclusion that the experimental class has significant difference with the control class.The results show that: Firstly,Mind Mapping makes differences to students' attitudes and strategies of vocabulary review.Secondly,Mind Mapping can enhance grade two students' memorizing effects of vocabulary.The drawing processing of Mind Mapping is that the vocabularies reappear in somebody's mind,which achieves a kind of learning mode that using his head,using his hands,using his mouth and using his eyes,making use of the advantages of left and right brain totally to classify those learned vocabularies systematically so as to improve their memorizing effects.
