One of the purposes of this study is to improve students' learning interest in middle school biology.Another one is to dispel some of the front-line teachers' doubts and questions about the feasibility and practicability of the application on micro-course teaching.This paper studies the relative merits of the flip-type micro-course and the embedded micro-course.Then a serious of micro-course was made according to the content of the sixth chapter of the biology textbook.And an embedded micro-course was conducted in Tian Jiabing secondary school which located in Xichong county of Nanchong city in Sichuan province.Data were collected and analyzed after giving specific questionnaire and interview to students,together with period test for the students here.Finally we got some conclusions.The results show that students' interest in learning biology have been stimulated and their learning ability have been encouraged,and students' academic performance have been improved after the embedded micro-course teaching has been carried out for a period of time.Therefore,the embedded micro-course teaching has a positive effect on the students.What's more,the application of embedded micro-course is less difficult than that of flip-type micro-course,and its maneuverability is strong in the process of practice,it is feasible and practical in the middle school teaching.This study has accumulated much practical experience for the development and application of the micro-course,and the researcher also hopes to provide reference for junior-high-school biology teachers and teachers of other subjects at all levels.Of course,the author in the future teaching practice will continue to carry out in-depth study on micro-course teaching.
