Educational evaluation constitutes an important part in education and teaching mamagement. Such evaluation helps to provide significant references for teachers to perfect teachi ng procedure as well as teachi ng result, helping to serve the whole teachi ng process. In order to better understand the devel opment and changes of students, and to improve the quality of school education, wehigh light the importance of conducting relevant educational measurements which play a basic role in educational evaluation. The author of the the paper conducts thorough literature review and analyses al I data based on her daily teaching and research experi ence, the two bei ng imortant in furthering the research.In writing this paper, the writer employs two research methods:literature review and experience sumairizing. The author searches related data based on item response.Theory and has done a thorough research on rel evant papers more over, the author i ntroduces to teachers the methods on how to deeply analyse students, scores by adopti ng ItemResponse Theory. By so doi ng, the author is able to clearly explain to her readers howto decipher the general picture of students, scores, how to scientifically conduct analysis on specific students, specific scores on specific subj ects, how to make comparsons about students whose scores are al most the same. Thi s above research assists teachers in developing further guidance to studentsWhat,s new i n the paper is the author uses Facets and SPSS to establish a scientific evaluation system on assessing students'scores based on ItemResponse Theory, v\hi ch focuses on rreasuri ng students, abilities and scores. Besi des, the corrbi nati on of both qualitative and quantitative research help to present students, overall picture, applied to every subject.
