With the popularization of higher education and the expansion of enrollment scale,higher vocational college,as a main part of higher education,has witnessed rapid development in recent years.Since its set up in early 1980,higher vocational colleges have occupied half of higher education no matter in the number of schools or students,effectively undertaking the responsibility of cultivating high quality and high skilled applied talents.However,in recent years,with the rising number and scale of higher vocational colleges,there are many problems behind this rapid development,such as competitive enrollment,inaccurate positioning,serious homogeneity of major settings,different school-running standards,lack of "double type" teachers,and low social recognition etc.In this fierce competition,more and more vocational colleges come to realize that establishing brand awareness and shaping a good brand image are their inevitable choice to stand out and attract students.Brand marketing has become a hot topic in the field of education management.As a higher vocational college with the characteristics in pharmaceutical industry,S vocational college also faces some problems in the process of brand marketing,including unclear school positioning,weak brand awareness,conservative brand communication,lack of effective brand communication system and brand maintenance mechanism etc.Based on the way of thinking in higher education’s brand marketing,this paper aims to analyze the present status and find out the main problems faced with S vocational college in brand marketing.By using the relevant theories of brand marketing management and related experience and methods of domestic enterprises,this paper may propose some brand marketing strategies for S vocational college in order to improve its competitiveness in the market and realize its sustainable,steady and long-term development.
