The development of Internet and the increasing needs of the society have presented a rising number of opportunities and passages for traditional English-teaching industry to enter a new era.Various online English learning applications have come into the view.These applications has alleviated the tense and problem of the unbalanced distribution of educational resources as well as aggregated and shared the teachers and students of high quality.Online classes are also more interesting and joyful to take and focus on wider aspects thus form an all-around education.But they share a common dilemma: the users aren't engaged enough.To provide the students from six to twelve years old an environment that constantly and sustainably encourages the users,fast school established a project that provides a foreign-teacher-to-kids live show platform.Based upon the characteristics and development of the children cognitive system and the motivation theories in psychology,discussions and analysis of the motivation models of online teaching applications take place.This paper applies literature review on the learning feature of child users as well as the relevant motivation theories thus points out the preliminary path of how to design this product.In the process of researching the motivation model,questionnaire survey and data statistics are first applied to build the model of child user's necessities and actions.Later,team members brainstorm to encounter a suitable motivation model for the particular user model and use the expectation equation M=VE to calculate the force of the motivation,therefore determine three major motivation patterns: rank board,put high score users on common screen and allowing redeem points for gifts.The interactive classroom of fast school possesses the manner of “teacher live show+ interactive courseware” and applies the three motivation patterns to provide children with authentic North American English learning and converts their “action of study” into a constantly encouraged “action by interest”.
