With the development of Xinjiang economy and society,more and more Neichubans appear and develop and many of them send high quality students to inland high schools.It not only enriches the education mode of Xinjiang but benefits more and more students from pasturing areas.Neichuban plays a vital role in Xinjiang educational business.Because of the huge ratio of English test and English ability,this thesis attempts to explore the English reading self-efficacy conditions in XinJiang Local NeiChuBan.On the conditions of knowing the sense of ability,efforts sense,sense of control,the study basis can reveal the inner Xinjiang Minority Students reading self-efficacy of characteristics,and provide local teachers and students.So the author hope it can be the foundation of improvement and enhancement in English reading level of minority students in Neichuban and the quality of education,and it will be important to promote the education equity and equality.Author have selected the students in class 6,7 and 8,eighth grade of No.67 Middle School for the study.The survey is based on Dr.Bian Yufang’s questionnaire(2002)of self-efficacy scale and Ye Li’s(2008)questionnaire of Students’ English reading self-efficacy to construct this questionnaire.The data shows that:1)Xinjiang Neichuban minority students’ Reading self-efficacy is below average.2)Xinjiang Neichuban minority students’ Reading self-efficacy includes sense of ability,efforts sense,sense of control.And the ability of sense affects students’ English reading proficiency significantly.3)There is no significant difference between boys and girls in Xinjiang Neichuban minority students in terms of English reading self-efficacy.4)English Reading scores and English reading self-efficacy are positively correlated.The results show that the students in neichuban has a higher level of reading self-efficacy in general.Reading ability and reading strategies are improved by the development of self-efficacy.Reading self-efficacy scores are positively correlated with their reading scores.
