Preschools in rural areas are an important part of the Chinese preschool educational cause,and the rural preschool teachers' professional accomplishment are one of the most important influencing factors.As the national government vigorously promotes the preschool education,rural preschool teachers' dreadful professional development gradually becomes the weakest part of the entire preschool education system.Given the rural preschool teachers' needs are multiple and diversified,the source of external support for these teachers are diversified too,and the NGOs are becoming important facilitators.This thesis aims to research NGOs' efforts to promote rural preschool teachers professional development and its influence factors,and case-studying a specific NGO's activities,to seek the NGOs' involvement in rural preschool teachers professional developmental status and various influence factors.Finally,this thesis reveals the role and pathfinding of NGOs in rural preschool teachers' professional development.The first part of this thesis is basic research.Firstly,it discusses the reasons behind the choosing of this topic and the background of the question;secondly,it defines related basic conceptions;and finally,it systematically untangles related research development that involves the NGOs and the rural preschool teachers' professional development and this thesis' research method,research goal,content and meaning.The second part is researching about NGOs' involvement in rural preschool teachers' reason and process.The third part is researching about NGOs' involvement in rural preschool teachers' professional development.It summarizes 10 NGOs' achievements and deficiencies by investigating their characteristics and their rural preschool teachers' professional development,and analyzes their influencing factors.Then,it anatomies NGO's general practices about rural preschool teachers professional development and its influencing factors through a case study.It believes that the project's organizational structure,goal,chance,process and the informal structure within an organization are the main influencing factors,meanwhile,the characteristics of rural preschool teachers and project personnel have great impact to this project operation;besides,some external environment,such as NGOs' legal status,education administrative department's approval,rural preschools' situation and rural preschool teachers' situation are the direct influencing factors.In addition,political and socio-economic environment,the development of science and technology,cultural values and demographic changes indirectly affects the project.Finally,this research further discusses the fundamental motives of rural preschool teachers professional development and the limitation and challenge of NGOs may face from a holistic perspective.
