In the past few years, new teachers’professional adaptation problem has been concerned by many persons,and it has been highlighted in the field of teacher education research both in China and abroad. As a inevitable stage of teachers’career and the beginning into an education reality,the period of occupational adaptation,is full of difficulties and challenges. During the time, the education life teachers went through was very important for themselves. Current researches about professional adaptation were mainly focused on the primary and secondary teachers, and present also started on the preschool teachers of preschool education.At present,as the growing need of kindergarten teachers in rural areas, now some primary and secondary school teachers transferring to work at kindergartens. And how they are going to facing the start of career without professional education? Till now,the theorists haven’t known it.The need of practices and the lack of theory urgently make the researcher try to show a picture of a"real"education life.This paper based on many literature reading and considering correlative adaptation theory of new teachers. Taking research,use data from119transfer teachers who entry the kindergarten within three years from kindergarten in rural areas of Gansu Province. That use of questionnaires, interviews as the main research methods, carrying out a detailed survey for the transfer teachers of inductive within three years, part of principal have conducted structured interviews.The paper aimed to explore the external and internal factors that influenced professional adaptation,and the stages that transfer teacher experienced throughout the professional adaptation process.But transfer teachers, although they have been teaching experience of primary or middle school for many years,still were all the difficulties and faced many problems in a preschool education workplace.Based on the present situation and the existing problems were discussed in the research.The paper studied on the external and internal factors of transfer teachers’professional adaptation.The interaction of external and internal factors signified the tension of structure and agency.The paper divided the whole process of transfer teachers adaptation into four stages: illusions stage, shock stage, adjustment stage, and differentiation stage,the tension of structure and agency throughout the process was analyzed. According to different adaptation problem transfer teachers faced at each stage and the interaction of the internal and external factors,this paper proposed to improve the external structure as well as to strengthen transfer teachers’internal agency to enhance the professional adaptation of transfer teachers.
