With the spreading of global ecological crisis day by day,China is paying increasing attention to the construction of ecological civilization.The 18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China first proposed the "Wild China" as the ruling idea and made it into the party constitution.The 5th Plenary Session of the 18 th CPC Central Committee held in October 2015 formally established the "the concept of five great development,that is,innovation,harmony,green,openness,sharing,which shows confidence and determination of the Communist Party of China and Chinese government for constructing “Wild China” and innovating the development path.Contemporary college students are the main force for the construction of China in the future,especially for that of Guizhou.How do they understand "Wild China"? What is their view of ecological civilization? How do they see the relationship between development and environmental protection? All above affect the sustainable development of our province and even our country,and also determine the realization of "Wild China".This paper first introduces the concepts of "Wild China",ecological civilization and ecological civilization education,and also summarizes the content of the education of College Students’ ecological civilization,including education of ecological values,economic outlook,ethics and consumption view,so as to explore the objective of ecological civilization education in colleges and universities.The objective is to cultivate college students’ awareness of ecological civilization,and convert the idea into practice.At the same time,this paper concludes the necessity and importance of carrying out the ecological civilization education of Guizhou college students from the perspective of "Wild China".It is beneficial to the all-round development of college students and to the sustainable development of society.Through the randomized questionnaire report of students from some institutes of higher learning in Guizhou,this paper argues that such problems as sterility,single form and lack of teachers lie in the present education of ecological civilization.There are three reasons: first,the institutes of higher learning have no systematic teaching plan for ecological civilization view;second,the education of ecological civilization occupies a little part in the courses of ideological and political theory;third,educators’ awareness of ecological civilization should be improved.In order to enhance the effectiveness of ecological civilization education of college students in Guizhou from the perspective of “Wild China”,four aspects should be focused on with regard to institutes of higher learning: first,give full play to the role of teaching materials and class,and strengthen the education of theory;second,construct beautiful campuses to influence students;third,expand the teaching of practice to cultivate students’ view of ecological civilization;fourth,improve educators’ literacy of ecological civilization.
