New curriculum in junior high school mathematics has been reforming for decades.In order to further develop the new curriculum reform,the teaching and the learning,the form and manner between teaching and learning are changing slowly.In view of the background of the new curriculum reform and the change of the modern educational environment,what is the current situation of middle school students’ abilities to solve mathematics problems and how to promote the middle school students’ abilities to solve mathematics problems?Therefore,it is worth studying the subject on it.Based on some literature review,questionnaire,test and interview on junior middle school students in Zhuhai,Guangdong,this paper found the main problems.First,compared with the primary school,junior high school having high-capacity knowledge,students difficult to adapt.Second,when the current junior high school students experience difficulties in mathematical learning,they are more willing to seek the help of companions.Third,the completion of the homework of students is not optimistic,most of them can not be independent thinking to complete their mathematical homework.Fourth,most of the students feel that their mathematical reasoning analysis ability is not satisfied,feel that they are not sensitive to graphics.Fifth,the students can not raise questions in a timely manner when they found mathematical problems in the classroom as well as reading in the usual,but also rarely take the initiative to solve their own problems.Based on the survey results and the analysis of the survey results,some suggestions are put forward to improve the abilities of junior middle school students to solve problem of mathematics.First,classroom should be the main place to improve students’ abilities.Second,students’ abilities can be improved by absorbing mathematical thoughts and methods.Third,homework on mathematics should be better developed.In the aspect of classroom teaching efficiency and infiltration of mathematical thinking and methods,the author study the subject by taking personal experience of teaching as example.In the aspect of homework,the suggestions are as follows:first,optimize the configuration and ensure that the layout of the work to be refined,diverse forms and distinct Second,correct carefully,then attain information and give emotional feedback in time.Third,teachers should comment on the homework of the students effectively.Last,students should be encouraged to learn by themselves and learn from others.Teachers should also improve homework guidance.
