With the new English curriculum reform in full swing,to improve students' thinking and expressing ability in English has become a common concern.And high-quality dialogues in English classes can provide space for students to improve their thinking and expressing ability in English.However,the dialogues between the teacher and students are not operated very well in real senior English class.Because of the unequal power between the teacher and students,the dialogue in class can't operate normally,which will have an effect on the improvement of quality of English teaching.Therefore,it has an important practical significance to do the research of dialogue operation in senior English class.From the perspective of critical discourse analysis,the paper attempts to have a new perspective to research dialogue operation in senior English class.This paper is on the basis of the theory of critical discourse analysis,dialogue teaching and second language acquisition.Trough the classroom observation and recording,the analysis of the dialogue operation in English class from the aspects of presentation of the topic,turn-taking and class feedback is made in terms of text,discourse practice and social practice,which tries to reveal the power relation between the teacher and students in dialogue operation in senior English class,promote the dialogue operation in class and improve the quality of teaching in class.This paper can be divided into three parts:The first part is chapter one,two and three.They are the theoretical basis of this paper.Chapter one mainly introduces the research background,objective and significance and research methods.Chapter two introduces some relative researches of dialogue in English class at home and abroad,including the connotation,structure and operation and some relative researches of critical discourse analysis theory at home and abroad.Chapter three is the theoretical basis.The theory of critical discourse analysis,dialogue teaching and second language acquisition provide a solid basis for dialogue operation in senior English class.The second part is chapter four and five.Chapter four is case study.Trough the classroom observation,the author gather cases in senior English class.With the help of the frame of Fairclough's critical discourse analysis,the paper makes a deep analysis of dialogue operation in senior English class.Chapter six is the research suggestion.Based on the previous research,the researcher proposes some strategies to promote dialogue operation in senior English class.The third part is chapter six.It is the conclusion of this paper,proposing the shortcoming and prospect of this paper.This paper aims to analyze dialogue operation in senior English class in the horizon of critical discourse analysis theory,hopes to help more English educators understand critical discourse analysis theory,and apply it to practical English teaching so that dialogue in senior English class can be operated effectively.
