Knowledge-based employees normally take mental labor as their mainly job responsibilities,and work on innovative or managerial work,being able to improve the efficiency of the enterprise.Knowledge-based employees are vital for the development of the enterprise and significant human resources for an enterprise.The management of knowledge-based workers represents the most significant challenge for enterprises nowadays.This research takes knowledge-based employees as the object of investigation and carries out its discussion from achievement motive,work flexibility and creativity.This paper adopts a questionnaire survey on 233 knowledge-based employees with the aim to understand the achievement motive,work flexibility and creativity of them,as well as the discrepancy in demographic variables in order to discuss the relationship between achievement motive,work flexibility and creativity and uncover the function of work flexibility on creativity.Through the survey,the following conclusions can be drawn:(1)Knowledge-based employees tend to have a relatively high level of achievement;the overall job flexibility is high;their creativity is mainly above the average level.(2)Demographic variables have different degrees of influence upon the achievement motive,job flexibility and creativity of knowledge-based employees.(3)Knowledge-based employees exhibit a significant positive correlation between each pair of achievement motive,job flexibility and creativity.(4)The achievement motive,job responsibility of knowledge-based workers have a significant predictive function upon their creativity.Achievement motivation has a significant positive predictive effect upon creativity;achievement motivation has a significant positive predictive effect upon job flexibility;job flexibility has a significant positive predictive effect upon creativity.(5)Job flexibility serves as part of the mediation for the influence of achievement motive on creativity.
