Nowadays,with economic globalization developing rapidly and international communication deepening,English has become one of the most common languages and its communicative function plays very important role.But as for the current situation of English teaching of junior high schools in China,a biggest problem is that students cannot use English to express well.That is to say,the students’ English oral output has barriers.Students cannot participate in English class totally and communicate and interact with their teacher positively.They just play the role of "audience" in classroom.This not only reduces the English classroom atmosphere,but also greatly hinders their development in speaking.This phenomenon has impact on the quality of English teaching in junior high schools.Therefore,under the social background of economic globalization and the subject background of focusing on cultivating students’ communicative competence,how to help students eliminate the barrier of oral output is the most important question for teachers to pay attention to.It books no delay.The study adopts the action research method,and works on removing the barriers of the students’ English oral output in junior high schools.The study uses a series of research tools such as classroom observation,interview,questionnaire and experiment.The author selects the students of two classes from a junior high school in Shuangliao city as the research object,totally 64 people.Firstly,the author clears the problem that the research needs to solve;and then makes the specific plan;finally,summarizes the effects of the action to get the corresponding conclusions.Through this action research,the students’ self-confidences have improved and the mood of anxiety is relived.The classroom atmosphere is more harmonious and the students’ classroom participation has improved.The research has achieved good experimental results.In order to remove the barriers of English oral output,teachers should begin from students themselves,to change the students’ learning motivation,eliminate psychological barriers and improve the self-confidence of oral English output.Secondly,teachers should aware of the importance of questions and evaluation.This makes an important effect on relieving students’ anxiety.Finally,teachers should create a harmonious and relaxed classroom atmosphere.Only jointing efforts from each aspect can get rid of the barriers of the students’ English oral output in junior high schools.
