Foreign language classroom anxiety belonging to situation-specific anxiety is formed in the process of language learning and acquisition,and manifested in foreign language learning classes.Low anxiety diverts students' attention,while high anxiety makes learners nervous and worried.Both of them play negative roles in the language learning process.Apart from learners' internal factors,error correction feedback can also cause anxiety easily during interaction.Error correction feedback not only refers to the teacher's response to errors and corrections,but also includes partner correction and self correction.This study aims to find out the relationships within FLCA level,students'attitudes towards error correction feedback,preferences to error corrector and corrective methods.The author uses quantitative and qualitative researches through "Foreign Language Classroom Anxiety Scale(FLCAS)","Classroom Error Correction and Feedback Questionnaire" and interviews,and provides some suggestions for teachers during real interactions in English classes.And this study found out that:1.There is no significant correlation between FLCA level and student's attitude towards error corrective feedback.Most students,whether in low,middle,or high FCLA groups hold positive attitudes towards error corrective feedback.2.There are significant differences within the preferences to corrector among low,middle,and high FCLA groups.The middle group likes partner correction best and the high group doesn't like self-correction.3.There are no significant differences of correction methods' preferences among low,middle,and high FCLA groups."Clarification","Request","Repletion" and "Elicitation" are the correction methods students like best,while "Recast" is the one they don't like.Based on these findings,teachers in middle high schools should fully understand the students,and use individualized methods of error correction feedback.They could also make efforts to create a relaxing study environment,in order to help students to develop self-error-correction system.
