With the English curriculum reform,more and more new concepts in English curriculum emerge leading higher requirements of all aspects of English teaching.For a long time,high school English Teaching in China has got great achievement in teaching English language knowledge,but it ignores the cultivation of English skills.It is often too much to pay attention to the results of examinations,and ignore teaching processes and teaching methods.Too much emphasis on teacher's dominant position and leading role,but it ignores the needs and developments of the student's emotional attitude.In order to balance the students' English knowledge and skills,and overall development of emotional attitude and values,the High School English Curriculum Standards explicitly pointed out that the prior goal of English Teaching in the stage of basic education is to cultivate students' comprehensive abilities of using languages.The formation of comprehensive language ability is based on the students' language skills,language knowledge,attitude,learning strategy,and cultural consciousness.Language skills and language knowledge are the basis of comprehensive abilities of using a language while cultural awareness is the guarantee to use a language properly.Emotional attitude is an important factor affecting students' learning and development,and learning strategies is a promise of improving learning efficiency and the development of autonomous learning abilities.Modern teaching believes that education should provide practical opportunities for theories and classroom activities will make the theory more vivid.The various forms of classroom activities can help stimulate students' interest in learning,and encourage students to participate in the learning process.It also can make them get away from the boring atmosphere in the classroom and get into an active scene of the real life,the frequency of using a language increases,and students can consolidate their learnt knowledge better.This paper is based on the theory of constructivism,focusing on the students in Lanxi senior high school in Suihua,it discusses the impact that exercise class activities have on the efficiency of English learning in high school and further analyzes the important role of exercise class activities in English learning in senior high school.This paper will analyze the exercise classroom activities from the constructivist perspective to and interpret Chinese education in a new way.This paper lays stress on systematical introductions of the meaning of exercise classroom activities and its value in English teaching in a constructivist view.Based on the collection of related materials of English exercise classroom activities,this paper uses the method of questionnaire,interview to do the empirical study of the students and teachers in Grade One and come to a conclusion.This paper also demonstrates the true situation of the English exercise class activities,through this thesis,the author hopes to draw the attention of English researchers,educators and learners to the exercise classes and its classroom activities and arouse the teachers' attention to the "student-centered" teaching skills.This paper also discusses the importance of exercise courses in senior high English learning,aimed at drawing researchers,educators and learners' attention to the exercise courses and its classroom activities.
