All-round development of teaching idea and new ways of learning have been advocated through the curriculum reform of basic education,and correspondingly the reform has brought greater challenges to the teachers.They,therefore,should keep on studying,update their knowledge structure,and improve their comprehensive quality,so as to adapt to the requirements of the basic education curriculum reform better.As the core of the teachers' knowledge structure,PCK(Pedagogical Content Knowledge),thus,is essential to improve the PCK level of the teachers.This essay applies the method of literature,questionnaire and interview to make the investigation on the present situation of applying PCK to some biology teachers of junior middle school in Yantai City,then make the analysis to understand their problems for the purpose of putting forward the measures to solve the problems,and providing a reference for the teachers and the related.The Preliminary results,through the questionnaire and interviews,are as follows:First,most of the junior middle school biology teachers can master the basic knowledge,be familiar with the contents of the history of Biology,and lay emphasis on the latest achievements of the Biology in their ontological knowledge,but when it comes to the relatively specific knowledge level or application,most of the teachers need further study.Second,they know the knowledge they teach the students much better in conditional knowledge,but they have not enough command of related pedagogy and psychology theory.Third,they have a wide range of study without deep degree in the basic knowledge.Finally,even if they recognize the necessity of teaching research,most teachers often reflect on and improve their teaching in their practices in the developmental knowledge,it is difficult to implement.There are many problems generally existing among the biology teachers in junior high school,for instance,insufficient ontology knowledge,unstable conditional knowledge,below proficient basic knowledge,shallow developmental knowledge so on.Some measures,hence,must be put forward in view of the problems.First,build solid theoretical basis through various ways of learning.The first step is to establish the communication group with the teachers in school and exchange the ideas withvarious interdisciplinary knowledge timely;then the second step is to organize centralized training for the biology teachers in the junior high school with the respect of instrumental knowledge,besides,encourage teachers to apply the modern education technology into the teaching process;the final step is to read extensively for the purpose of increasing their culture knowledge.Second,improve the awareness of self-reflection and strengthen the reflection in practice.Third,perfect the on-job training system to enhance the relevance of training.What needs attention is that the contents of the training should be determined from the perspective of subject education,and chooses flexibly in accordance with the regional differences,so that makes it practical.
