Research On Community Corrections From The Perspective Of Social Work

After the reform and opening up,the market economy has been able to develop rapidly.The development of political civilization and economic civilization has also followed closely.People's ideology and concepts have also undergone tremendous changes during these more than 60 years,and the voice of humanitarianism has been increasing.In the area of judicial reform,with the increase in exchanges and communications with foreign countries,"replacement products" community corrections took root in China.In 2013,Shanghai took the lead in carrying out pilot work on community corrections and achieved good results.In 2014,it began to be established nationwide.Implementation.As the second batch of pilot provinces,Anhui Province has carried out more than 11 years since 2006.The original intention of community corrections is to place people who are less guilty of crimes and who are less harmful to social security in the community to supervise,manage,and educate them,so.as to achieve the goal of correcting criminal mentality and vices,enhancing self-development,and returning to society as soon as possible.However,in actual work,it is very easy to supervise and administer the objects to be corrected,and it is difficult to achieve the greatest function of educational work to promote the changes inherent in the object of correction.This article through the method of empirical research,take the community correction work of S town in Chuzhou City of Anhui Province as the research object,carried on the field observation of community correction work of S town for 4 months.In the field survey and research process,the interview method and participatory observation methods were mainly used.Through participation in correction activities such as centralized education and public welfare labor for the correction target,the personnel deployment and community correction work of the judicial institute was carried out.,effectiveness and other details have some in-depth understanding.In the process of observation,the author found that the community correction work in S town is facing difficulties such as lack of legislative support,lack of corrective work force,leadership intervention,and lack of funds.And because of these reasons,the lack of social workers with professional backgrounds in the area has further contributed to the problem of a single form of community correction and correction and weak educational functions.On the basis of discovering and analyzing these issues,the author proposes the problems existing in the community correction work in S town from the perspective of professional social workers by using the advantages perspective theory,social capital theory,and social support theory as the theoretical basis in the article.Some suggestions for improving the deficiencies in the current work.There are many studies on community correction from the perspective of law.Although the empirical research on social work as the focus has shown an increasing trend in recent years,the overall number is relatively small.This article takes the specific community correction work in S town as the research object,discovers the difficulties and insufficiencies faced by the community correction work from the grassroots work,and on this basis,puts forward feasibility opinions through analysis,which is conducive to practically improving the community correction work at the grassroots level.insufficient.At the same time,it can also be further filled with empirical research on community correction.In general,it can promote the development of community corrections and social work practices in China.
