The Research On Correcting The Problematic Behaviors Of Street Corner Youth From The Perspective Of Social Work

Adolescent social problem in current society has been paid more and more attention.There are many forms of social problems such as truancy, puppy love, premarital sex,heart disorders, mental illness, interpersonal tension, smoking, drug use, alcoholism,violence, Internet addiction, early pregnancy. Prominent problem behaviors in youthgroups, one group known as the "corner youth", this group mostly teenagers, they are insmall groups or small gangs form, often trouble makers, strange, dressed offbeat. Aimingat the street corner youth issues, professional social work intervening, can help thismarginal group correction of problem behavior from a professional point of view, to helpthem return to the mainstream of social life.In this paper, take the B community of C city as an example, through theinvestigation of social workers and visiting and subsequent professional social workintervention on the several Street Corner Youths of the treatment research. Afterunderstanding, several service object family environment is very special, economicconditions are poor. Secondly, for the school, they have no obvious rejection, but due tovarious reasons, do not want to go back. Third, they are very confused about the future,without clear objectives, values and outlook on life are blind and deviation. Family,school, community and society to establish treatment system, treatment and follow-up ofcommunity service through the efforts of staff, several services have made progress insome aspects, the deviant behavior own also had to change the consciousness.
