English writing is one of the basic skills which L2 learners need to master.In the last two decades,the effects of corrective feedback on English writing have become a hot research topic.Although many domestic scholars have proposed their own views on the effects of corrective feedback on English writing,there are fewer studies of teachers' corrective feedback in junior high schools.Based on the relevant studies and theoretical bases,this study was designed to verify the effects of teachers' corrective feedback on English writing of junior high school students,and learn about their attitudes and views towards teachers' corrective feedback.The research questions of the thesis are as follows:1.What are the effects of teachers' corrective feedback on English writing of students in junior high schools?2.What are junior high school students' attitudes and views towards teachers' corrective feedback in English writing?In the research,90 participants of the study were selected from two parallel classes in a junior high school in Shanxi province.Class One received teachers' direct corrective feedback with written comments and Class Two received teachers' indirect corrective feedback with written comments.The two classes completed 6 writing tasks.The entire experimental process lasted for over three months.The research instruments concluded pre-test,post-test and questionnaire.The author collected the experimental data and analyzed the results by SPSS 17.0.The study demonstrates that teachers' corrective feedback has great effects on students' English writing in junior high schools.And it plays a significant role in content,structure,grammar,vocabulary,and mechanics,especially in the aspect of grammar.Besides,students generally have positive attitudes towards teachers' corrective feedback and they expect to receive more comprehensive and multiple feedbacks in the subsequent composition.
