Phonology is the foundation of language learning and the material shell of the language.Therefore,laying a solid foundation plays an important role in students' future English learning,especially for Grade Seven students' learning.The study is based on the theory of Positive Transfer in language transfer and Contrastive Analysis.Giving conventional English phonetics teaching on the control class and conveying Chinese Pinyin and English phonetics contrast teaching to the experimental class.In order to get to know the level of grasping Chinese Pinyin and the knowledge of English phonetic symbols,the experimental class and the control class are respectively tested the 26 letters,consonants,vowels,overall recognition,tones and syllables of Chinese Pinyin before the experimental teaching and 26 English phonetics letters,vowels,consonants,stress,monogram,and syllables are tested.The specific classroom teaching is depended on these six aspects under the methods of Positive Transfer and Contrastive Analysis.First,Chinese Pinyin and English phonetic symbols are compared on 26 alphabets,writing and pronunciation,and the pronunciation characteristics of English phonetic vowels and consonants are summarized.Second,the Chinese phonetic consonants are compared with the consonants of English phonetic symbols.Summarize the similarities between the two to conduct specific classroom teaching.Third,the contrast between Chinese Pinyin syllables and English phonetic vowels is that the students master the specific classroom teaching in terms of writing style and pronunciation.Fourth,the overall Chinese pinyin reading is compared with the syllables of English phonetic symbols.Fifth,the tone of Chinese Pinyin is compared with the stress of English phonetic symbols.Sixth,the Pinyin syllables of Chinese are compared with the syllables of English phonetic symbols.After the one-semester Chinese pinyin and English phonetics comparative teaching,a second paper test is conducted on the control class and the experimental class.Combined with the results of the first and second tests,the results are analyzed and the results obtained are that,with the help of Chinese Pinyin,students in the experimental class had significantly better results in mastering the English phonetics than the control class.The research results show that Chinese Pinyin has a certain auxiliary effect on English phonetic teaching under the methods of Positive Transfer and Contrastive Analysis.
