Study On Cultivation Of Private University Students' Self-independent Spirit

Self-strengthening and self-independence spirit of the students in private colleges and universities refers to the important spiritual quality of self-independence,self-struggle and selfimproving,which can assist the private college and university students in establishing their long-term developing goals,cultivate their spirit of hard struggle and work diligently,and encourage them to practice independently.For building an innovative and modern socialist country,the private college and university students also require this spirit,which is beneficial to develop their physical and mental health harm harmoniously,give full play to their advantages,overcome all difficulties they may encounter,achieve their own value,and complete their missions entrusted by the times.Although the private colleges and universities have made certain achievements in ideological and political education for a long time in the past and trained many qualified people to meet the needs of socialist modernization drive,it should be improved in the private colleges and universities to cultivate students' selfstrengthening and self-independence spirit advocated by the state and society as a new mental outlook.This thesis is divided into four parts.The first part is the introduction in which the research background and significance,the overseas and domestic research status quo and development trend,and the innovation and research methods are to be illustrated.The second part expounds on not only the basic concepts mentioned in the thesis including the concept of the private university,the concept and the features of the private university students,and the concept of the self-independent spirit,but also the theories related to the thesis including the theory of multiple intelligences,Marx's theory of all-rounded development of human,and the theory of cultural construction of university campus.The third part elaborates the problems in forstering private university students self-independent spirit and the coresponding reasons.The problems can be surmmarized as the following six,as teaching contents fall behind,cultivation approaches are monotonous and out of date,the deficient in education with incomplete system as a backup and self-consciousness of students are weak.The author chooses four aspects from society,univeristies,families and students themselves to further analyze the reasons.The fourth part proposes relative solution to the problems mentioned in the third part,including improving and enriching the methods of cultivation for the self-independent spirit of the private university students,expanding the practice platform,optimizing cultivation environment,promotion of systems related with university security and enhancing self-regulation awareness of university students base on innovative social practice teaching stratigies.
