Compulsory education is an important part of the entire national education system.It is not only the basic education which has promoted the overall development of individuals,but also the important cornerstone of promoting the development of science,technology and economic prosperity.The basic education in ethnic areas is related to the unity of nationalities and the stability of frontier areas.The formulation of national education policy directly affects the development of ethnic education.In the 19 th CPC National Congress report,general secretary Xi Jinping also proposed that the construction of a powerful education power is the foundation of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation,and education must be placed in a priority position.It is necessary to peed up the modernization of education and run a satisfactory education for the people.With the efforts of Tibet and the support of the state,the quality of compulsory education in Tibet has improved significantly in recent years.But there are still with shortcomings.Bango County,located on the plateau of northern Tibet,is sparsely populated and in a harsh environment.This county,as a field investigation point,has certain reference significance to the research national education policy.This paper first summarizes the definition of the concept of ethnic education policy and some Marxist theories on ethnic education policy.And then comb the development process of ethnic education in Tibet autonomous region and the specific national education policy.Through literature research,questionnaire survey,individual in-depth interviews,from the aspects of educational hardware facilities,informatization speed,curriculum setting,students' understanding of education,and so on,this paper investigates and studies compulsory education in Bango County.So as to explore the practice of ethnic education policy.In recent years,through the continuous implementation of the Party's education policy,Bango County has passed the balanced inspection and acceptance of compulsory education.There has been an increase in school enrolment.Both hardware and software facilities have been improved.Increasingly showing the national characteristics of running schools.However,there are also some problems in compulsory education,such as backward management system,insufficient education funds,etc.In this paper,the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions are put forward.On this basis,this paper tries to think about the direction of the reform of the policy of compulsory education in Tibet Autonomous region as a whole.On the basis of recognizing the differences,we should strengthen the commonness,seek truth from facts,keep pace with the times,and provide some useful countermeasures for promoting the development of education in minority areas.
