Chemistry is a basic and natural science which is closely related to people's life.The core knowledge,thinking methods and scientific values of chemistry are important in enhancing students' scientific literacy.Chemical exercises in senior high school are one of the most basic and common teaching forms in chemistry teaching.Through the explanation and practice of the exercises,students can apply abstract knowledge to practical problems and students' ability of thinking in chemistry also can be trained.With the promotion of the curriculum reform,chemistry textbooks have been greatly adapted in content and form.However,there are still many problems in the teaching of chemistry exercises in current senior high school,such as backward teaching methods and blind training,which seriously restrict the effectiveness of exercises lesson.The author believes that mind map can help students construct knowledge network and train students' ability of independent thinking.In this context,combined with long-term teaching practice,the author determined to study the specific application of mind map in chemistry exercises lesson in senior high school.The research mainly uses the literature research method,questionnaire survey method and action research method to study the students using the mind map to construct knowledge network and develop independent thinking ability,improving the effectiveness of teaching consequently.This research contains two parts.The first part is mainly based on clarifying the concepts of chemistry exercises,mind map and other core concepts,along with combining with brain science theory,Piaget's learning theory,Bruner's cognitive structural learning theory to expound the related application of mind map in high school chemistry exercises lesson.According to the author's long term teaching practice,through questionnaire survey and data analysis as well as the issues that teachers and students have when drawing mind map,the second part is focused on the specific in-depth study on the application of mind map in three exercises teaching modules,including the exercises lesson of chemistry experiment,inorganic block diagram inference and computation problems as well as the related data analysis is carried out.Research practice has proved that mind map can greatly improve the teaching effectiveness of high school chemistry exercise lesson and enhance students' score.In the future,we can combine it with modern information technology to further explore the application value of mind map.
