| In the context of Internet Age, Henan TV launched a Chinese characters cultural TV program "The Chinese Hero" for the idea to rescue the Chinese characters’ crisis in the summer,2013. This TV program has made outstanding achievements:zero negative feedback, and stimulated other Chinese cultural programs of the same kind of traditional Chinese culture programs have been launched. While at the same time, "The Chinese crisis", " How to innovate the traditional cultural program " and other topics are heard, The responsibility of the media is mentioned again.As a new type of TV program, Chinese characters cultural TV program has injected new blood to Chinese television program market as a result of local original spirit.Therefore to learn the reasons of why high ratings of such programs is critical.In order to study the Chinese characters cultural TV program deeply, this paper has selected the first original program"The Chinese Hero" as an example.Based on the spirit of cultural studies and the perspective of communication, The paper will take the elemental analysis method.In the specific practice,the paper will adopt the textual analysis and comparative analysis in order to learn the reasons for the success and ratings slump,also to further think the reality worries hidden behind-Finally to extract the inspiration for the Chinese characters cultural TV program.The first chapter is an introduction to explain to select characters and cultural TV program as a reason for the study, based on the existing literature on the sort of clear research framework and research methods.
