In recent years,Chinese Spelling Hero,Chinese Characters Dictation Competition,The Chinese Idiom Conference and some other intelectual programs are hot broadcast,receiving both audience rating and public praise.In the time of “ abused amusement ”,singing and dancing program,dating show are everywhere.Those intellectual programs which are less recreational but have more deep cultural connotation got its popularity so quickly.And the reason of its hot broadcast and cultural value attract the concern of the learners.Intelectual programs first appeared in our country in the 1980 s,and they were just competions of pure knowledge.In the late 1990 s,our country started to introduce amounts of such forms of program.Through continuous adjustment and innovation,these programs gradually received an obvious effect and audiences started to be keen on and pusue them.By taking Chinese Spelling Hero for example,this thesis made a sysmatic and intact study on such kind of programs in our country and the characteristics and the existing problems in different atages.Meanwhile,as a kind of educational but still recreational program.stages.Intellectual program has many features that other programs don’t have,which I also presented to make a distinction.Next,taking Chinese Spelling Hero of HNTV for example,this thesis mainly elaborates its strategy of local innovation.Henan Province has a long history and abundant culture,and HNTV took fully use of this regional advantage,with the column steup of “cultural china,cultural satellite television”,creating Chinese Spelling Hero-on intelleceual program with a large scale.However while receiving the applause and favorable reception,it also revealed a series of problem which became the obstacle to go forward.Innovation is the impetus for a program to go forward,and if a program wants to get a further development,it should continually bring forth new ideas on the contents and forms,build a brand image and bear the cultural responsibility,and only by doing so can it stand in the market of TV shows permanently.
