With the improvement of Internet,end-to-end communication protocol based on transport layer singlehoming such as TCP and UDP are challenged in aspect of transmission performance,fault tolerance and security.The emergence of end-to-end communication protocol with transport layer multihoming such as SCTP-based CMT(Concurrent Multipath Transfer)greatly improved the end-to-end throughput and network resources utilization.With the extensive application of CMT,how to build a high-performance,scalable and highly available SCTP-based CMT load balancing mechanism so as to meet the emerging needs of large-scale application of SCTP is a current hotspot.In addition,because the data retransmission can not be avoided and the fact that the existence of the finite receive buffer,the pros and cons of CMT transmission path selection will directly affect the level of receive buffer blocking,so CMT transmission path selection play an important role in guarantee the performance of the multipath transmission and the study on this issue has also become the focus of the field.In this paper,the multi-path selection algorithm was researched based on the scientific research achievement of domestic and foreign scholar.The standard CMT-SCTP shows that all paths in an association were used for new data transmission.Through the research results of some algorithms about transfer path selection,we found that the existing multi-path selection algorithm needs to be further modified to improve the performance of ene to end transfer and throughput especially.SCTP is not the protocol that transfers new data with multipath courrently.In addition,the condition assumption is generally inconsistent with the actual situation of Internet,which will increase the the gap between the simulation and actual application.the file transfer system was implemented.The advantages are further demonstrated by CMT-SCTP and a new multi-path selection algorithm.Therefore,a new transfer path selection algorithm named CMT-DPS(CMT-Difference Path Selection)was presented,and it is simulated through NS2.The efficiency of the existing algorithms is greatly reduced when the path parameters difference is large,while the CMT-DPS improves the thoughput of the overall correlation,and the delay between request terminal and receive terminal is obvious reduced compared with other multi-path selection algorithms.In addition,it is necessary to complete that modify the the part of path selection of FireFox and Apache.This paper implements the CMT-DPS based file transfer system.And the advantages of CMT-DPS were verified by expertiments.Finally,the summary of the subject and outlook the research work of future were described.
