Design And Practice On The Project Of Qinghai Tietong GPON Broadband Access Network

GPON network,as the more normally perfect,technically mature,and widely applied technology in current PON network,has won the favors from more and more communications operators,and gradually become the important means for operators in solving the problems related to "triple play" and "smart city".In recent two years,the governments of Qinghai Province and Xining City have also proposed the target of developing the Internet+ smart city to vigorously carry out the Internet construction,and to this end,on the basis of prior broadband development experience,China Mobile Tietong and China Mobile jointly developed the "Thirteenth Five-Year" broadband development plan.In the context of the national "Broadband China" strategy,China Mobile Tietong is facing an important development opportunity,and thus,vigorously implementing the optical-fiber network coverage of family and enterprise users is the most important task at present.This paper firstly analyzes the access methods and technical characteristics of several broadband access technologies,then discusses the evolution of PON technology and compares the characteristics of EPON and GPON,focusing on expounding the GPON technology,including the technical principle and technical features.This paper puts forward the current situation of metro transmission,broadband and access network of Qinghai Tietong,carries on the detailed planning and design of Qinghai Tietong GPON network,and finally,elaborates the application design of GPON technology in the FTTH / FTTB optical network reconstruction project of Qinghai-Tibet Railway Garden,figuring out the concrete implementation plan.Through the research on this subject,a deeper understanding of the GPON network,application scenario and construction plan is achieved,and it is hoped to provide some suggestions for the GPON network practice of Qinghai Tietong.
