With the rapid increases of mobile user number and mobile service requirements,there is an urgent need to evolve from the previous cellular networks with the limited load capability to 4G-LTE wireless networks.Currently,the mass deployment and commercialization of 4G-LTE has been launched by each mobile carrier.Due to the high level technical requirements,the construction process of 4G-LTE faces many challenges.Particularly,with the advance of urbanization,medium cities with a large number of potential users have become the battle ground of mobile carriers.However,the unique characteristics of medium cities add several uncertainties to the construction and deployment of 4G-LTE.Therefore,this thesis investigates the construction scheme of 4G-LTE wireless networks for a certain medium city,and proposes several novel ideas suitable for engineering practice,so as to provide some reference for the construction of future 5G system.The main works are as follows:I.The development process,system architecture and key technologies of 4G-LTE wireless networks are respectively introduced,and then the framework of this thesis is given.II.According to the characteristics of medium cities,the overall construction target of 4G-LTE wireless networks is established,and then the corresponding coverage target,capacity target and load target are respectively described.Furthermore,the related principles followed in the constuction of wireless networks and base stations are summarized.III.The construction scheme of 4G-LTE wireless networks for a certain medium city is designed.First,programming procedures of wireless networks are briefly introduced,and then a user demands based network programming mechanism is proposed for the efficient deployment of base stations.Second,the construction schemes of various base stations are detailedly introduced,and then an integrated utilization strategy of antenna resource as well as space resource and a centralized deployment plan of Base Band Unit(i.e.BBU)are respectively proposed for effectively sharing resources and rapidly maintaining BBU.Third,through the implementation of this scheme in a certain prefecture-level city,its feasibility is validated.Finally,the conclusions are summarized,and the future works are given.
